How it works

MS Agri Trust | Crowdfunding

Crowdfunding works by allowing farmers to present their projects or ideas to a large online community and then ask for contributions to help finance their venture. Here's how it typically works:
  1. Preparation: Farmers create a detailed description of their project, outlining the issue they aim to solve and the benefits it will bring. They set a fundraising goal and determine the amount of money they need to raise.
  2. Campaign launch: Farmers launch their campaign on a crowdfunding platform and start reaching out to their network of supporters to spread the word. They can also use social media and other marketing tools to increase visibility and attract more backers.
  3. Contribution: Members of the public can then contribute to the campaign by making a pledge or donation. They typically receive a reward or incentive in return, such as a product sample, early access, or a discount.
  4. Fundraising: If the campaign reaches its funding goal, the funds are collected and transferred to the farmer to use for their project. If the campaign falls short of its goal, the funds are returned to the contributors and the project is not carried out.
Crowdfunding allows farmers to overcome traditional financing barriers and access new sources of capital, which can help them solve a wide range of issues such as funding for new equipment, expansion, or research and development. By connecting directly with the public, farmers can build a supportive community of backers who are invested in their success.
